Scholarship Disbursement

REGISTRATION:  No reimbursements will be paid out for registration fees. If an applicant is approved to receive a discounted rate for registration, they will receive a special code from the Conference Office. In the event that an applicant must register before finding out their application status (for example, a confirmed conference speaker), the applicant should select “pay by check” as their payment method.  If/when a registration scholarship is awarded, the recipient can go back into their registration record, enter the discount code and finalize payment.  Notifications will be sent from the conference registration manager to individuals indicating payment by check that they are not officially registered until payment is received.

LODGING:  No reimbursements will paid-out for lodging. For those awarded lodging scholarships, DPA will make the necessary room reservations at our scholarship recipient hotel. Guests will be required to submit a credit cards to the hotel upon check-in for any incidental expenses they may incur (phone, movies, room service) and any room nights not covered by the scholarship.

TRAVEL: Except in extremely rare cases, all reimbursement checks for travel will be disbursed at the close of the conference on Saturday, December 8th and will be contingent upon the receipt of a conference evaluation form.  Scholarship recipients will be supplied with a travel reimbursement form that they should send to the Conference Office with a copy of their receipt. Individuals submitting their form by November 26, 2007 will receive their checks on-site. Individuals submitting their paperwork after this date or at the conference will receive their check 15 days after the conference. All travel reimbursement requests must be submitted by December 15, 2007.
