The Convention Center is a large facility, so plan on some healthy physical activity! Consider wearing a pedometer so you see how many steps you take throughout the day! Meeting rooms are notorious for being either too cool or warm, so we highly encourage you to dress in layers.

Parking

FREE PARKING!!! All registered participants will receive up to a $6 reimbursement for each day you have registered for the conference. To receive your reimbursement, present either your receipt, if you are in a pay as you enter facility, or your parking ticket that was given to you when you entered the facility, to the conference registration desk during the times posted in the conference program. (Reimbursement cannot be given during peak registration or CEU processing times.) You may park wherever you wish, but you must present a receipt or ticket.

Directions to Convention Center Parking: Driving west on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, cross Broadway and then veer left on the up ramp. The structure is located on the east side of the convention center. Follow signs to the conference. The cost is $6.00 per day.

Handicapped Parking: Handicapped parking in ANY city parking lot or structure is free.  Just show the booth attendant your valid handicapped placard and be sure to park in spaces designated for handicapped parking. The closest parking to the Convention Center is under Civic Plaza.

Hotel Parking: If you are staying at the host hotel, we recommend keeping your car in the hotel parking lot during the day while you’re at the conference. It’s a short walk across the street (or through the underground passage) to the convention center.

Lodging

The block of rooms at the Doubletree Hotel

are now available to reserve.

Participants must make their own lodging arrangements. The cut off date for receiving the special rate, is April 1.

Located directly North of the Convention Center, entry to and from the Center is available through a convenient underground passageway. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Doubletree Hotel at the special group of $80 single; $90 double; $100 triple occupancy plus tax. Parking for hotel guests is $8, which includes in-and-out privileges, however parking is limited and we recommend that you do not move your car once you have checked in. You must give the reference Head to Toe to receive the special rate.

Reservations: To make reservations, you may contact the Doubletree at (505) 247-3344 or Toll Free (800) 584–5058. A limited number of smoking rooms are available; participants must make this request when making their reservation. Requests for smoking rooms, at check-in, will be on a first come first serve basis.

Special Accommodations

If you are in need of special accommodations, i.e., sign language interpretation, please contact the conference office at (505) 715-5222 by March 20. All of the facilities we have selected are accessible. TDD or TTY users may access this number via the New Mexico Relay Network at 1-800-659-8331.

Children

Please note that this conference provides professional training to adults and is not suitable for children. Due to safety concerns, and the fact that the content presented in not always appropriate for children, no one under the age of 12 (including infants in strollers) are allowed.

By entering the event premises, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any exhibition, streaming, web casting, television or other publication of these materials regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such exhibiting, broadcasting, web casting or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged.  You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by the event host or the person or entity designated to do so by the event host.
