School Health Assistant Training

Offered at no cost to participants by the New Mexico Department of Health, this course addresses the role of the School Health Assistant in a Coordinated School Health program and meets the (one-time) training requirement for Public Education Department School Health Assistant licensure. Participants will acquire the basic knowledge needed to work as a School Health Assistant under the supervision of a licensed school nurse. REGISTER HERE.

 Regional School Health Education Institute

Focusing on youth at risk this year, the Institute is designed to ensure staff return to school with new tools to improve the health and academic success of your students. Experts will share activities, tools, and resources to use in your classrooms. Attendees can choose from a variety of sessions covering topics such as trauma-informed care, teens and opiates, suicide prevention, youth health literacy, college readiness and coping with grief. Plus, they’ll come away with a flash drive with handouts and resources.
