Brian W. Hatchitt, CMP

Brian’s depth of experience in hospitality and meeting planning spans more than a decade, so the transition to his current position at Kesselman-Jones was an easy one. He first worked with the company from the other side of the convention services industry, as Laura was a client. They eventually served together on the board of directors of the New Mexico Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), of which Brian is a past president.

In his role as Chief Operating Officer, Brian notes that the growth of the company is approached with the same foundation of structured development and strategic planning for which Kesselman-Jones has become known. His long-term mission is to expand the company’s scope of services, develop new projects and increase its capacity for serving the needs of a growing list of clients.

Brian’s background includes operational leadership, sales and marketing, team and volunteer development, strategic planning, and marketplace research and positioning. He carries the Convention Industry Council’s designation of Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and is degreed in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management. A native of Albuquerque, Brian is interested in local and statewide economic development, and loves sharing outdoor adventures with his daughter.
