The New Mexico Public Education Department, Safe and Healthy Schools Bureau is excited to announce that the 2019 School Health Education Institute (SHEI) will be held on November 18 & 19 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. 

Experts will share activities, tools, and resources to use in your classrooms.  Attendees can choose from a variety of elective sessions covering topics including family and community outreach, healthy relationships, nutrition, health care for the homeless, school safety and security, and much more.

Who May Attend?

The institute’s primary audience is middle and high school health educators. Although, PE teachers, counselors, nurses, safety/security leads, Healthy Kids Healthy Community Coordinators, and 21st Century Community Learning Centers are also encouraged to attend.

How Can I Attend?

Only invitees of the New Mexico Public Education Department are able to register for this event.

There is NO COST to attend this exceptional training opportunity. A complimentary lunch is provided on both days.  

Space is limited and we are inviting many school districts in New Mexico to participate.  Upon receiving your invitation, please follow the registration link provided to claim your spot. Registration will close at 5:00 pm on Friday, November 1.
